The newspaper news (by Qian Min) – On Mar. 26th, Shanghai Golden Key Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd declared that the first low-temperature catalysis-free pyrolysis project of waste tires under industrial integrated control developed by our country itself had achieved large-scale, industrial and continuous production mode and also passed the scientific and technological verification of China Machinery Industry Federation. This project realized the full recycling utilization of waste tire and waste rubber in high values and without any harm. No catalyst was used under quite low pyrolysis temperature, and all the required energy sources were fully self-contained, which created a wonder in the global solid waste disposal circle.

As the automobile industry develops rapidly, “black pollution” caused by waste and old tires becomes more and more serious. The developed countries have already begun to handle “black pollution” and developed a series of technologies for recycling wastes.

It is known that the United States, European Union, Japan and other developed countries mainly use waste tires simply as fuels at present to supply thermal power to cement, power generation and other industries. While in our country, the waste engineering tire and lorry tires are mainly used in producing recycled rubber, and the waste car tires are mostly used in oil refining by indigenous methods. All the above technologies obviously cannot achieve the full recycling, harmless and high-value utilization of waste tire resources.

The complete equipment for low-temperature catalysis-free pyrolysis of waste tires under industrial integrated control developed by Golden Key can thermally decompose the waste tires and waste rubber into high-quality fuel oils, carbon black, steel wire, fuel gas and other required materials under a relative low-temperature status – 400 ℃. Among them, the fuel gas and part of fuel oils have self-supported energy sources of production system. Particularly, no catalyst will be used during the production, which is originated both at home and abroad. According to the latest data at home and abroad, among 21 technologies of same kind over the world, only the pyrolysis project of Golden Key does not use the catalyst and the pyrolysis temperature is the lowest, while other projects mostly are above 850 ℃.

Cheng Yuan, our famous rubber machinery expert from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, says that the development of high-value utilization technology in waste rubber catalytic pyrolysis was the scientific and technological supporting plan project of “Eleventh Five –Year” Plan, and now the low-temperature catalysis-free pyrolysis technology of waste tires developed by Golden Key has exceeded the scientific research target set by our country. Right now, this project has obtained 23 patents at home and abroad.

Zhao Jianjun, the president of Golden Key, says that, in the next few years, Golden Key will plan to construct pyrolysis production bases that can dispose of 230,000 tons, 150 – 200,000 toms, 300,000 tons and 100,000 tons of waste tires respectively in Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Middle West and Northeast China Regions.
